Blog 5: My Future Job.

Today I will talk about the job that I would like to have in the future. I am currently a sophomore in social work, and I am working at Happyland, however this is a temporary job. The truth is that I still do not have in mind a specific place where I would like to work, it is something to which I have not yet given much importance, but I must say that I must work in some area that is related to childhood. I really like children, I am the eldest of my sisters and my cousins, also in my current job, I interact with children and for me it is pleasant, I have a good relationship with them.
Although it is very different, I would also like to work in the prison area, especially with women deprived of liberty.
Really, the salary is not something that is too relevant for me now, I suppose that when I grow up it will be more important.
If my future job allows me to travel to other places, I suppose it would not bother me, however I would rather travel for recreational reasons instead of work reasons.
At the moment I aspire to be a good professional in the future, to find a good job where I can help and can contribute beyond palliative solutions.

Blog 4: Books.

Tengo miedo Torero - Pedro Lemebel | Planeta de Libros
Today I will talk about a book that I had to read at school when I was in the fourth grade. This book is called “Tengo miedo torero” and was written by Pedro Lemebel. The story is set in Chile in 1986 and deals with various topics such as homosexuality, the attack on Augusto Pinochet, inequality in Chile, among others. Its main characters are "La loca del Frente", a homosexual older than 40 with few resources and Carlos, a university student and member of the patriotic front Manuel Rodríguez. La loca del frente helps Carlos, not knowing what his plans are and, as the story progresses, a romantic relationship develops between them. I think that the topics covered in this book are not usually covered much in schools, that is why I liked this book since it is not like the common books that one usually read in school, teachers generally choose more classic and boring books, however this was the exception. I found this book very interesting and entertaining; it gave us another look at these issues and allowed us to develop a more critical vision. I honestly think it is a good book.

Blog 3: Movies and Series.

Today I will to talk about an anime series called Psycho-Pass. This serie premiered in 2014, and its directors were Naoyoshi Shiotani y Kiyotaka Suzuki. The series is set in a futuristic Japan, where it is intended to achieve a perfect society. For this, a system called Sibyl controls various aspects of people's lives, including control of people's mental state and personality thanks to a psycho-somatic scanner denominated psycho-pass. The protagonist of the serie Akane Tsunemori (inspector) and Shinya Kōgami (executor) are agents of the Division Unit of the Office of Public Security and Criminal Investigation, the equivalent of the current police, and they are in charge of arresting or executing all those people who for the system are considered “criminals”. The interesting thing about this story is that constantly makes you question the ethical and moral values of this idea of a perfect society, and that is also reflected in its characters who experience various situations that often make them question the operation of the system. During history philosophical themes are also raised and that is why it seems to me a good series. Although not everyone likes anime, it is a series that I recommend and that I feel is worth watching.
